literature analysis

 the novel was about this man and his son that were serial kidnappers and they kidnapped girls together and the father, later on, included hid another son nd because that happened many things went done and the girls ended up escaping and when they all escaped all of the girls were questioned in the hospital but only one of the girls were suspicious to the cops they decided to interrogate her in the police station. the novel was a thriller novel but it also seemed more like a fanfic than a true crime novel as most of the good reviews were from true crime readers. based on the story the author seems to like to dink a lot of coffee and she also likes to stay up late and read books that inspire her and I get the feeling that the author likes to read a lot and she also likes to do nothing but stay in bed writing her next book. five  literary techniques that I learned while reading the book were  characterization, Imagery, symbolism, Mood, and theme 

FINAL REFLECTION FOR WORLD LITERATURE 2020-2021

This semester was unlike any other but this course was different from all my other courses because Dr. Preston made the course fun and he thought in a way that was easier for me to understand. something that I found most meaning full was that he let us take charge of what we were doing and what we wanted to learn about and how we chose to do it. and I found this meaningful because most teachers want you to learn things at their pace and they expect you to learn it when they want you to learn it and not at your pace. some of the work that I'm most proud of was waiting on my journal and that helped and inspire me to write on my day and I learn how to write my feelings down instead of keeping them inside of me and having meltdowns when I get overwhelmed by things that I wish I had done better was to keep track of my work and being organized better so that don't forget thing as easy and try to get all my work done and I know that I always needed help in that area but now this year it was more difficult because there was all this distraction and then there were sometimes when I had family problems and other times when I couldn't do the work because became too overwhelmed and now I understand how it works so that I hope that in the spring do a better job in getting my work done. in this course like I said I learned how to write down my stuff and be a bit or organized when it comes to doing things online because I don't really like using the computer and I like more getting involved so I think that that was part of the problem. le mis helped me with Diction: It helped me with this because le mis had a lot of complex words and it helped me break down my literature analysis book thought me about what it means Characterization and this text helped me because the story had many characters and they had their own back story and the Characterization helped me break down the characters and their storyline. symbols helped me figure out Symbolism I'm many things like in stories i could understand Symbolism better without being confused 

why I chose what i choose

For my literature analysis I decided to read the book called "The butterfly garden" the book is about a serial kidnapper who kidnaps girls and has then in an indoor garden and he tattoos a butterfly on their back and gives them new names and identities and he also kills them once they turn 21 and he does many other things to them. and the reason for why I chose this book is because I have been getting into true crime and reading crime novels and this was a book that really interested me. 

MY FIRST IMPRESSION

My first impression of chapter 8 of LE MISERABLE: was kind of surprised because I never thought that someone would ever have to courage to talk to the bishop like that especially if he was a power full man even if they were drunk arent they scared that he would to something to them but what surprised me the most was that the bishop didn't do anything about it  

THE REASON VICTOR HUGO WROTE LES MISÉRABLES

 the translation of the passage from LE MISERABLE:

So long as there shall exist, by virtue of law and custom, decrees of damnation pronounced by society, artificially creating hells amid the civilization of earth, and adding the element of human fate to divine destiny; so long as the three great problems of the century—the degradation of man through pauperism, the corruption of woman through hunger, the crippling of children through lack of light—are unsolved; so long as social asphyxia is possible in any part of the world;—in other words, and with a still wider significance, so long as ignorance and poverty exist on earth, books of the nature of Les Misérables cannot fail to be of use.  

is basically saying that if their are laws in the world then children and woman won't have to go hungry and they don't the society ca be in peace

IT'S SYMBOLIC

 three symbols that I encounter in my life are 2 trapezoids facing each other another is two trapezoids facing away from each other and the last symbol that I encounter in my life is a square. 

two possible meaning of the green light in the great gatsby is telling him to go and take a chance and ask the girl out while he can or else he won't have a chance and another possible meaning fo the green light is possibly the color of money that hasted. 

one way that animals and human are the same is that they both depend on each other to survive 

one way that humans and animals are Completly different is that humans are homo sapiens and animals are from different species. 

it helps change people's perspectives.

PANDEMIC PEDAGOGY

 during week one I learned that this course wasn't going to be like a normal English class and I actually learned something in that class and most of the times in really bad at English class so the first week I didn't really learn that much but in this class I actually learned something and I hope that I get to learn more things in the future
